Leaving MyFitnessPal? Your history comes with you.

WIMSTA is an honest, ad-free food diary and a MyFitnessPal alternative. No ads in your diary — ever, even free. Numbers are shown as a range from published formulas, not one fake-precise figure. And you can bring your own MyFitnessPal export — meals, weight and measurements — in a few minutes.

No ads in your diary · honest ranges, not fake numbers · import in a few minutes

Three things people leave MyFitnessPal for — and what WIMSTA does instead

1 · Ads in your food diary

MyFitnessPal shows ads in the diary. WIMSTA’s diary has no ads at all — ever, including the free tier. We don’t sell attention, so nothing sits between you and your day.

2 · Basics behind a paywall

MyFitnessPal moved barcode scanning behind its paid tier. WIMSTA keeps the basics free — no paywalled essentials in the diary. Barcode scanning is coming; we’ll say so plainly here the day it ships, and it won’t be paywalled.

3 · One number that pretends to be exact

A single body-fat or calorie figure hides how much real uncertainty there is. WIMSTA shows a range across several published formulas, plus each formula’s own published error — the honest picture, not false precision. See it for yourself:

18.4%
the number you’re usually shown

Same measurements, several published methods. 18.4% is the lowest of them — and it’s the one you’re usually shown.

Every formula is cited on the method page, with its source and verification status.

Bring your own data — in a few minutes

It’s your history and your right to take it with you (data portability). Three steps:

  1. Export from MyFitnessPal on the web — open MyFitnessPal in a desktop browser and use Download Your Data (the export is web-only; the phone app doesn’t offer it).
  2. Upload the file to WIMSTA — on the import page. It’s read entirely in your browser and never stored on a server.
  3. Preview, then confirm — you see exactly what will be added (days, entries, measurements) before anything is written.

What transfers: your logged meals, your weight, and your tape measurements (from the Progress file).

Honest about the limits: MyFitnessPal exports totals per meal, not per food, so each meal comes in as one entry with the totals you logged (gram amounts aren’t in the export). Exercise and water logs aren’t included. Your numbers come across as you logged them — we don’t re-estimate or distort them, which the big trackers usually don’t bother to do at all.
