Data sources & attribution

Every number on WIMSTA comes from a published source we can name. Formulas are cited on each calculator and on the method page; the datasets behind the food diary are credited and licensed here.

Formulas & health norms

Body-fat, BMI, waist-to-height, heart-rate and protein figures are computed from peer-reviewed formulas, each with its primary citation and verification status on the method page. Healthy body-fat ranges follow Gallagher D. et al. (2000), Am J Clin Nutr 72(3):694–701.

Food data

The food database is built offline from several public sources, each kept with its origin badge so you always see where a food came from:

Weather (planned)

Weather-aware features will use Open-Meteo, available under CC-BY 4.0.
